Kristen's Side Gigs

When our kids were little, my husband used to sing Bob Marley's Three Little Birds to me, more specifically, the "every little thing, gonna be alright" part. Well, he was right, and our three little birds are flying now, friends. And I am too.

After years of teaching professionals about developmental disability and the family experience, and running a school for neurodiverse children and young adults, I am now available to consult for schools and organizations looking to expand their environment and culture to be more inclusive. Because our kids don't need to be fixed. More education and skill-building among faculty, parents, and co-workers will make a better world for all of us. Before I had children and went into the field of neurodevelopmental disability, my passion was writing and literature. It has remained my most favorite past time, publishing poems, articles, and co-writing research papers. I am currently working on my first novel, which includes an autistic main character, that I may or may not currently think of as my favorite person.
